Telecommunications Infrastructure
Bay Networks Infrastructure operates cell towers across semi-rural stretches of Anwara and Patiya upazilas where grid outages are frequent and diesel generators were running long hours to keep base station equipment powered. Generator fuel and routine maintenance visits were a major recurring operating cost, and unplanned generator failures occasionally caused tower downtime until a technician could reach the site.
CZ Engineering designed a hybrid solar-battery system for each of 14 tower sites, pairing a 6 kWp solar array with a 20 kWh battery bank and a smart controller that prioritizes solar and battery power over diesel, only starting the generator when state-of-charge drops below a set threshold. Remote monitoring was configured so the operations team can track battery health and generator run-hours across all 14 sites from a single dashboard.
