Agriculture — Poultry Farming
Green Valley Poultry Farm houses over 20,000 layer birds across four sheds, and even short outages in ventilation fans or incubation controls during Kishoreganj's frequent load-shedding periods risked heat stress and flock losses. The farm was running a diesel generator as backup, but fuel costs and the delay between a grid trip and the generator kicking in were both problems the owner wanted solved.
CZ Engineering installed a 45 kWp rooftop solar system over the shed roofs combined with a 60 kWh lithium battery bank and automatic transfer switching, so ventilation, lighting, and incubation loads fail over to battery power within seconds of a grid or generator trip. The system was sized to cover the farm's critical loads through several hours of outage even on lower-sunlight days, with the diesel generator kept only as a last-resort reserve.
